Caring for Your Leather

Proper care can help preserve the appearance, texture, and durability of your Glacialeather product for years to come. Leather is a natural material and will gradually evolve with regular use.

Keep Leather Dry

Avoid prolonged exposure to water, rain, excessive humidity, or other liquids.

If your leather item becomes wet, gently blot away excess moisture using a clean, soft cloth and allow it to dry naturally at room temperature.

Do not use a hair dryer, heater, radiator, or direct sunlight to accelerate drying.

Cleaning Your Leather

For routine cleaning, gently wipe the surface using a clean, soft, dry cloth.

For more noticeable dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and test it first on a small, discreet area.

Avoid household cleaners, detergents, alcohol-based products, bleach, harsh chemicals, and abrasive materials.

Conditioning

Depending on the type of leather and frequency of use, occasional conditioning can help maintain softness and prevent excessive dryness.

Always use a conditioner designed specifically for genuine leather and test it on an inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire product.

Excessive conditioning should be avoided.

Storage

Store leather goods in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place.

For bags, keeping the interior lightly filled with clean tissue or another soft material can help maintain their shape during storage.

Avoid folding or compressing leather products for long periods.

Avoid Direct Heat and Sunlight

Extended exposure to strong sunlight may cause leather colors to fade or change. Direct heat may also dry the leather and affect its texture.

Store your products away from heaters and prolonged direct sunlight whenever possible.

Protect From Sharp Objects

Leather surfaces can be scratched by sharp objects, rough surfaces, jewellery, keys, and other hard materials.

Natural marks acquired through everyday use may become part of the leather’s developing patina.

Leather Develops Character

Changes in texture, softness, tone, and surface appearance are normal characteristics of genuine leather. With regular use, your product may develop a unique patina that reflects how it has been used.
